Our founder, M.D. Hall, “Uncle Doc”, had a love for automobiles and chemistry. During the day, Doc sold motor oils, and at night he worked on his dream of creating car care products in his small home laboratory. In 1928, he developed a unique, high quality car wax, called “GLAX”. Doc soon established the Hi-Lustre Products Company in San Gabriel, California and started selling his products in Texaco gas stations throughout California.

For over 90 years, our family has carried on Uncle Doc’s dream to produce the highest quality professional car polishes and waxes. We manufacture a complete line of high quality car care products for the professional and consumer markets. We specialize in custom polishes, waxes, compounds, ceramics, paint sealants, metal polishes, soaps, degreasers, cleaners, shampoos, and more. We also offer custom private label manufacturing services for select clients. We maintain a large inventory of finished products for immediate shipment to our network of independent distributors and professional users.
